How we check prices
Where gamekeys.deals prices come from, how often they are checked, what "cheapest", "lowest tracked" and "release date" mean, and how to report a wrong price.
Where prices come from
- Steam: Steam's own store, checked every hour.
- Other stores: about 30 stores through IsThereAnyDeal, checked every hour; GOG from GOG's catalogue, checked daily.
- All prices are in US dollars, before local tax and payment fees, and without coupons. A $0 giveaway is not counted as a price.
What the words mean
- Price today
- The cheapest in-stock PC offer we found at the last check. Each store counts once per game: its own feed wins over a copy of the same offer, and a store with regional storefronts (Gamesplanet) shows its cheapest storefront.
- Cheapest store
- The store with that lowest price. Store rankings on Stores count how often a store is the cheapest; no store pays for its place.
- Discount
- The price against the game's list price on Steam. We show "−X%" only when there is a real discount.
- Lowest tracked
- The lowest monthly price in our history: up to two years from IsThereAnyDeal plus our own hourly checks since 24 September 2026. We only call a price "the lowest" once a game has two months of history.
- Released
- The first release on any platform (from Wikidata, then RAWG), not the day a game arrived on Steam; game pages also show "On Steam since" when it differs.
- Scores
- Steam user reviews, RAWG player ratings and Metacritic critic scores, each on its own scale with its source. The star value is Steam's positive share on a 5-point scale. We never merge scores into one.
- Series
- Series lists come from Wikidata: every released game, expansion, remaster and remake, in order of first release.
Corrections
Prices can change between our checks. Always confirm the price, region and edition on the store's page before you buy. If you find a wrong price or store detail, email contact@gamekeys.deals with the game and the store; we fix confirmed errors at the next update.
