Best Acheron Build in Honkai: Star Rail
Build Acheron with her best Light Cones, Relics, stats, Trace priorities, teams and Eidolons, plus practical alternatives for E0 and free-to-play accounts.
Acheron works best as a burst DPS built around CRIT, ATK and a team that applies debuffs frequently. Her safest general build uses Along the Passing Shore, Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters, and Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm. At E0, pair her with two Nihility teammates and one sustain unit so allies can generate Slashed Dream points and bring her Ultimate online quickly.
This guide was checked on October 7, 2026. Character kits remain stable, but new Relics, Light Cones and teammates can change the strongest account-specific setup.
Best Acheron build at a glance
| Slot | Best general choice | Practical alternative |
|---|---|---|
| Light Cone | Along the Passing Shore | Good Night and Sleep Well or Boundless Choreo |
| Relics | Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters, 4 pieces | Two-piece combinations while farming a full set |
| Planar Ornaments | Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm | Inert Salsotto if its substats are clearly better |
| Body | CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG | Use the stat that balances the final ratio |
| Boots | ATK% or SPD | Pick according to team speed tuning |
| Planar Sphere | Lightning DMG or ATK% | Use the piece with stronger substats |
| Link Rope | ATK% | — |
| Substats | CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK%, SPD | — |
| Trace priority | Ultimate and Talent, then Skill | Basic ATK last |
Acheron does not use Energy to activate her Ultimate. She instead builds Slashed Dream when debuffs are inflicted and places Crimson Knot on enemies. That makes team composition part of her build: a statistically strong Acheron still feels slow if the other three characters rarely apply debuffs.
Best Light Cones for Acheron
Along the Passing Shore
Acheron’s signature Light Cone is her best complete option. It supplies CRIT DMG, increases her damage against afflicted targets and gives her another reliable way to apply a debuff. The extra debuff matters because it contributes to her Ultimate cycle instead of providing damage alone.
Good Night and Sleep Well
Good Night and Sleep Well is a strong four-star option when the enemy consistently carries several debuffs. Acheron already wants that kind of team, so the passive fits her normal rotation without requiring a separate setup.
Boundless Choreo
Boundless Choreo is useful when the team can keep enemies Slowed or affected by DEF reduction. Pela naturally supports that condition, making the cone easier to use in accessible teams.
Other usable Nihility Light Cones
Incessant Rain and In the Name of the World can work when already available, but avoid choosing a cone only because it has five-star base stats. Acheron values CRIT, damage bonuses and reliable debuff interaction more than Effect Hit Rate intended for a conventional debuffer.
If two options are close, use the cone that produces the better final CRIT ratio and more consistent Ultimate cycle in the actual team.
Best Relics and Planar Ornaments
Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters
Four pieces of Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters are the standard choice. The set rewards attacking debuffed enemies and provides offensive stats Acheron can use throughout her burst window. Her teams are already designed to maintain debuffs, so the condition should be active in normal play.
Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm
Izumo is the most natural Planar Ornament set because Acheron normally enters battle with another character following the Path of Nihility. That condition aligns with her E0 team-building requirement and helps her reach a balanced CRIT ratio.
Inert Salsotto remains usable when its pieces have much stronger substats. Do not discard a well-rolled set simply to equip an Izumo set with weak CRIT and ATK rolls.
Main stats and substat priorities
Use these main stats as the starting point:
- Body: CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG
- Boots: ATK% or SPD
- Planar Sphere: Lightning DMG or ATK%
- Link Rope: ATK%
For substats, prioritize:
- CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG
- ATK%
- SPD when it improves the team rotation
There is no universal displayed CRIT target that fits every account because Izumo, Relic effects, Eidolons and teammate buffs can change the in-battle result. Check the combat value rather than judging the build only from the character screen.
ATK% Boots or SPD Boots?
Use ATK% Boots when teammates generate Slashed Dream efficiently and the goal is to maximize each Ultimate. Use SPD Boots when an extra Acheron turn improves stack generation, Skill Point flow or the team’s action order.
The choice depends on the complete rotation. A faster build is not automatically better if it sacrifices too much CRIT or ATK, while a slower build can feel awkward if the team does not apply enough debuffs between Acheron’s turns.
Trace priority
Upgrade Acheron in this order:
- Ultimate
- Talent
- Skill
- Basic ATK
The Ultimate is the centre of her damage profile. Her Talent supports the RES reduction and special Ultimate mechanics, while the Skill contributes damage and a Slashed Dream point during her normal turns.
Unlock her major Bonus Abilities as soon as their Ascension requirements allow. The Abyss is especially important because it rewards using additional Nihility characters, while Red Oni improves her starting and overflow stack management.
How to play Acheron
Acheron’s rotation is about reaching nine Slashed Dream points while building Crimson Knot on enemies.
- Apply debuffs with teammates before Acheron acts where possible.
- Use Acheron’s Skill rather than her Basic ATK on normal turns unless Skill Points are unavailable.
- Keep debuffs active so Pioneer Diver and relevant Light Cones maintain their bonuses.
- Use the Ultimate when its full sequence will hit the intended targets and benefit from the team’s active debuffs and amplifiers.
- Plan the next stack cycle instead of treating the Ultimate as an isolated attack.
Her Ultimate can damage Toughness regardless of enemy Weakness Type and reduces enemy All-Type RES during its sequence. That gives Acheron broad coverage, but it does not remove the need for correct target selection or debuff timing.
Best Acheron teams
E0 debuff team
- Acheron: main DPS
- Jiaoqiu: frequent debuffs and Ultimate-focused amplification
- Pela: DEF reduction
- Aventurine or Gallagher: sustain with useful debuff contribution
This structure gives E0 Acheron two additional Nihility characters while maintaining survivability. Jiaoqiu and Pela both support the part of her kit that matters most: consistent debuff application before each Ultimate.
Accessible team
- Acheron: main DPS
- Pela: DEF reduction
- Guinaifen: accessible debuff application
- Gallagher: healing and additional debuffs
This version uses widely obtainable roles without pretending every account owns premium supports. Guinaifen can keep Burn and Firekiss active, Pela supplies DEF reduction, and Gallagher sustains the party while contributing debuffs through his kit.
Alternative teammates
Consider these characters based on the roster and encounter:
- Silver Wolf: useful for concentrated single-target debuffs and Weakness implantation
- Black Swan: can contribute multiple debuffs, especially on accounts already invested in damage-over-time characters
- Welt: provides Slow and action delay, although team Skill Point use needs attention
- Aventurine: strong defensive comfort with debuff contribution through his Ultimate
- Gallagher: accessible sustain whose debuffs help Acheron’s stack generation
Do not add a character merely because the character follows Nihility. The teammate still needs useful debuffs, reasonable Skill Point demands and a rotation that supports Acheron’s Ultimate timing.

Best team changes at E2
E2 reduces the number of additional Nihility characters needed to reach the full effect of The Abyss. This opens a slot for a Harmony support or another specialist without giving up that part of Acheron’s kit.
An E2 team can therefore use:
- Acheron
- One Nihility debuffer, commonly Jiaoqiu or Pela
- A compatible offensive support
- A sustain unit
The best third support depends on the account and current roster. The important change is flexibility: E2 is valuable because it changes team construction, not only because it increases a damage number.
Acheron Eidolons explained
E1: Silenced Sky Spake Sooth
E1 improves Acheron’s CRIT consistency against debuffed enemies. It is useful, but it does not change team construction as much as E2.
E2: Mute Thunder in Still Tempest
E2 is the practical premium stopping point. It reduces the Nihility requirement for The Abyss and grants an extra Slashed Dream point at the start of Acheron’s turn. This makes rotations smoother and allows a greater range of supports.
E3 and E5
These Eidolons increase Trace levels. They improve damage but do not transform how Acheron is played.
E4: Shrined Fire for Mirrored Soul
E4 causes enemies entering battle to take increased Ultimate DMG. It is a useful amplifier on the way to E6, but it is rarely the main stopping point.
E6: Apocalypse, the Emancipator
E6 is a major luxury upgrade that changes how Acheron’s attacks interact with Ultimate DMG effects and enemy Toughness. It is powerful, but unnecessary for clearing content with a properly built E0 or E2 Acheron.
Is Acheron worth building?
Acheron is worth building when the roster can support frequent debuff application. Her biggest advantage is a high-impact Ultimate that can handle different enemy Weaknesses, while her main restriction is that team composition strongly affects how quickly that Ultimate becomes available.
Build her if you already have Pela, Jiaoqiu, Silver Wolf, Guinaifen or another suitable debuffer and want a Lightning damage dealer centred on burst windows. Consider another DPS first if the account lacks debuff support or needs a character who works with a broader range of early-game teammates.
The safest investment path is:
- Build Acheron at E0 with an appropriate debuff team.
- Improve her Light Cone and Relics.
- Consider E2 only if the extra team flexibility is valuable to the account.
Updates can change available teammates and equipment. For recent game changes, see our Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3 coverage.
Questions
What is the best Acheron build?
Use Along the Passing Shore, four pieces of Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters, and two pieces of Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm. Prioritize CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG on the Body, ATK% or SPD on Boots, Lightning DMG or ATK% on the Sphere, and ATK% on the Rope.
What is Acheron's best team?
At E0, Acheron usually wants two Nihility teammates who apply debuffs consistently, plus a sustain unit. Jiaoqiu and Pela form a strong core, while Aventurine or Gallagher can fill the sustain slot.
Is Acheron good at E0?
Yes. Acheron is fully usable at E0 when her teammates apply enough debuffs to charge her Ultimate. E2 makes team building more flexible but is not required to use her successfully.
Is Acheron's E2 worth it?
E2 is her most important team-building Eidolon because it reduces the number of additional Nihility characters needed for the full effect of The Abyss and grants an extra Slashed Dream point at the start of her turn.
Does Acheron need Speed Boots?
Not always. Speed Boots help Acheron take more turns, while ATK% Boots improve each burst. Choose based on team speed tuning, Light Cone and substats rather than forcing one option on every account.
